Sexual misconduct against young people or those in less powerful positions will not stop until we, as a society, call it out and condemn it every time it happens. For those of you who are “perplexed” or confused as to how Lauren and Carol’s stories are connected or why Carol would choose to tell her story now, I encourage you to work with survivors of sexual assault. It may give you a broader perspective to understand the road survivors take.
