Excellent journalism
Didn’t see the movie that reflected some of the true life horror it was based on- the real life horror is from our systemic prejudices of race and poverty (rural white and inner city black). Too bad we still see the same and what would politically benefit both is not what the voters choose.

So well done
This is such a terrible story. I was TERRIFIED of candyman as a kid. I saw it wayyyy too young. Hearing this story about Ruthie and how devastating these housing projects were for all the good people that had to live through this. It’s just heartbreaking 😭 thank you for sharing this with us all.
