Description
One hundred twenty-six sophomores representing all Pitt County Schools attended the first Career Connections Expo on March 11th at Pitt Community College. Students were given the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities related to specific program areas of their career interests. The departments that participated in the Expo were: Architectural Technology, Automotive Technology, Construction Technology, Early Childhood Education, Gaming & Design, Health Occupations, Human Services, Paralegal, and Welding.
A video that discusses general aspects of what biotechnology is, career choices, and what educational options are available for students will be presented by community college and university representatives. This video was created by the BioNetwork Bioprocessing Center and East Carolina University.

Students at Person High School learn many practical skills using the Electrical Trades program. They are able to apply their learnings from other courses especially math.
