Project E2, which began as a program solely for educators, has been enhanced to include students. Each month student/teacher teams from a given cluster from each high school visited the corresponding area at Surry Community College and a business/industry in the area. Students and teachers were able to see the educational opportunities available at SCC first-hand, as well as the employment opportunities available in the two-county area.

College Tech Prep Conferences are an excellent way to bring together career-oriented educators such as career development coordinators and school counselors in order to provide up-to-date information about College Tech Prep. This podcast steps viewers through the event components used successfully by Wake Tech Community College and the Wake County Public School System for many years. Summer Technical Institute is a summer day camp for students who have graduated from the eighth grade and will be entering high school in the fall. The four-day institute is held on the campus of Sampson Community College. During the camp, the students experience several career tracks and develop soft skills such as leadership, team building, oral and written communication, as well as presentation skills.
