Frightening
I was looking for an Au Pair - and now I’m not. At the very least this woman doesn’t appear to have physically hurt any children but as the mother of a special needs child this story has made me even more distrustful of allowing other people to care for my son. Also, this podcast highlights the absolute uselessness of the Irish Guards, Irish legal system, the zero government support for working families and the abysmal state of mental health services in both UK and Ireland. I wish I could just have found it interesting but unfortunately it highlighted the vulnerability of my own family. If only Samantha would use her obvious intelligence for good use - her thinking ‘outside of the box’ thought process would have made her a great occupational therapist.

Have thoroughly enjoyed this podcast, kept me listening absorbed by the revelations. Clearly this person needs serious help, hope she’s doing better. Love love love hearing Sue Perkins again, what a delight. Highly recommended.

Intriguing story but poor storytelling. I worry, too, about the impact that sensationalism like this will have on people who are genuinely disabled, trying to be believed.

I’m looking for a good true crime. After listening to In Your Own Backyard I’m completely spoiled. This one lost me after 2 episodes. I couldn’t get into this psychopath woman. Made me not care about anything that she did. Sorry
