“The story telling itself is not bad but I really disliked their faux attempt at making understanding mental illness. I’m not excusing what she did by any means but it was really irritating when they kept saying “I completely sympathise with mental health, (despite addressing mental illness not mental health) depression and anxiety are really hard” These are not the be and end all of mental illness. I really feel given they are giving a “holier than thou” take on true crime podcasts, they should at the bare minimum have more experts advising on the actual story - especially psychologists/psychiatrists)”
