Barton
The AT ISSUE PANEL has been the best political show for many years in Canada with Hebert, Coyne and now Raj. With the arrival of Barton, it is no longer serious journalism. She is the liberal equivalent of Tucker Carlson in the US and has as much credibility as he does. Journalism is meant to be the fourth power that keeps THE GOVERNMENT in check. Not to promote it like Fox or MSNBC. Whatever legitimacy the three panelists bring has been rotted out by Barton. She’s a mistake.

The At Issue panel continues to be a highlight of The National. All due respect, but Rosemary Barton needs to loosen up to let the panelists interact. A challenge with a group of A-type journalists, but surely could be negotiated.
