I like that when Rosie asks a politician a direct question, she holds that person to answer the question and not let the person fluff and time waste.

I just tuned in to catch Andrew Coynes comments on the Alberta election. He stated that Ms. Smith was surrounded by individuals who were not from planet earth. Really, Mr. Coyne! Your arrogance knows no bounds. Perhaps CBC can find commentators with more humility for this program.

Guest currently lean conservative and often have takes that reflect older voters. Seems out of touch at times.

An American democrat politician doesn’t sit down with any journalists that ask tough questions only ones that will portray them in good light…fat head ( Rosemary Barton) only does propaganda journalism

I found your discussion regarding Danielle Smith interesting. When the comment was made addressing why would people vote for the UCP based on her behaviour perhaps our prime ministers behaviour and ethical lapses could also have been addressed as from my perspective their behaviour is very...Read full review »

Lukewarm opinions & barely any content, not good enough.

I used to love cbc now I force myself to listen to it just to hear what the political left is saying. I want to hear a balanced view on things. It’s unfortunate that cbc can’t better reflect the diverse views of the people who fund it. When speaking of polarization, Andrew Coyne spoke of a...Read full review »

Limited sound bites , based to the liberal point of view . Everything the government does is due to , an emergency. The government gets the applause from the people they pay , the cbc propaganda machine is well oiled .

I didn’t hear the send button so I’m repeating myself. Don’t you know what a gem you have?? Everybody is right it’s much too short. Your in the same level as NP R. Five stars

I find the pace of the discussion a breathless race to beat a time clock. It is a good show and I like the panelists but it is too abbreviated. I’d like to hear more thorough discussion and counterpoints.

It’s almost September and I am can finally look forward to this podcast returning. Just wish it could be stretched to a half hour ( at least) or twice a week.

I used to really enjoy all of the CBC programs. That is, when they did actual reporting. Nobody that works there is reporting the full story anymore. Apparently, that sweet, sweet liberal money is too good. How can show about politics, not question a single Fiberal Minister, about why new court...Read full review »

The only thing that would make this podcast better is if it were longer or Rosemary was given a separate longer podcast like Party Lines was. CBC is sleeping on Rosemarys potential. Keep up the great work! -Keelin Pringnitz

Insightful perspectives by seasoned analysts on Canadian politics. Views are mainstream but reflect both liberal and conservative spectrums and focus on provincial sensitivities. The panel does not shy away from criticizing either the government or opposition parties when warranted. Great job.

Impressed with Elamin’s year-end appearance. Nice, thoughtful zag about what this year in politics was like; I thought it was the best of the bunch. Spot on with vaccine uptake of Canadians, Steven Del Duca, and trust in government, too. … Elamin has two types of contributions: echoing others on...Read full review »

This podcast deserves the highest rating. I’m perplexed why it takes so long each week to upload. I want current events’ analysis not historical analysis.

I look forward to every thoughtful episode, appreciate each of the panelists (and the wonderful and dynamic Rosie!) and always feel welcomed into and part of the conversation.

A very interesting look at Canadian’s politics by a diverse panel. I just wish it would be longer and have more episodes each week.

It's fairly silly to position this as a national affairs program given the host's extremely rigid and publicly acknowledged support for the LPC.Read full review »

Rosie Barton is the furthest thing from an unbiased journalist. Along with the CBC, she shouldn’t be involved in commentary of any kind subsidized by a government

Panelists are strong, Rosemary Barton is weak as she was in debates, often restates the obvious. Quit making it about your opinion, your personal connections and stop the giggles please Rosemary. Be insightful like the panelists or say nothing. Maybe Althia or Chantel could host?

The AT ISSUE PANEL has been the best political show for many years in Canada with Hebert, Coyne and now Raj. With the arrival of Barton, it is no longer serious journalism. She is the liberal equivalent of Tucker Carlson in the US and has as much credibility as he does. Journalism is meant to...Read full review »

The panel is well informed and to be taken seriously. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the host who has a tendency to laugh/giggle too much. This segment really needs a host with a bit of gravitas.

I do realize you all report on the federal government but vaccine delivery is dependent on provinces. It would be nice if you all could also comment & report on what is happening with vaccine delivery to Canadians in provinces. The input of the three panelist is as usual the core and attraction to the show. It has become clear Rosemary Barton is primarily interested in the partisan advancement of the Liberal Party – at the expense of all substance, and it deeply damages the previously vibrant discourse. Great panel, but questions asked of them could be improved, be more practical. Question about PM commenting on provincial issues this past week was way out in left field and did not add anything of substance to the issue.

Start reporting the news on all sides of the story. You are terrible when you put fear in people, then try to be all fuzzy and cute. We need to know the truth on both sides and we will decide who we believe. Canadians are not dumb. It is a shame that your Canadian status is to theLiberals and are...Read full review »

3 or 4 juggernauts of Canadian journalism meet up roughly once a week to discuss the current goings on, but it’s run like a 1990s news at 6 show where we get only 10 minutes for some reason, nobody can really even get their full thoughts on the table. Why not meet for longer, say 30-45 minutes at...Read full review »
