Always a meaningful listen! Rosemary does an excellent job at facilitating, the panelists have great chemistry and distinct enough in their takes that there’s always a new angle for me to consider. Short enough to never miss an episode!

I listen for the analysis from Andrew Coyne and Chantal Hebert who provide some of the best analysis of any journalists in the country but Althia Raj is incredibly biased to the point that the podcast is becoming unlistenable. She constantly delivers Liberal talking points, acting like a...Read full review »

Rosemary Barton does a good job moderating, and the questions posed are poignant and well researched. Chantal Hébert and Andrew Coyne are great panelists, with Andrew in particular presenting fairly non-partisan. Althia Raj, while clearly intelligent and knowledgeable, can explain excessively,...Read full review »

This podcast feels like an extension of the liberal party, mostly criticizing the conservatives, while propping up Trudeau. If you listen carefully, you will notice that Barton is giving Althia more airtime than the others, and she rarely interrupts her speeches with her irritating rebuttals....Read full review »

More Aaron Wherry! // Can you please for the love of God stop bringing Kelly Cryderman on the panel? Her sympathy for Saskatchewan’s government illegal withholding of tax revenues is beyond the pale. Bring back Chantal! Can’t mess with the trio. // Althia now holds the belt as the reigning champ...Read full review »

I listen for Andrew Coyne, he’s the least biased and criticizes all sides of an issue. The others are biased against the conservatives.
Jimbo Jones2 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 01/24/24
Panelists currently lean conservative and often have takes that reflect older voters. Andrew is particularity out of touch on most issues, speaking with confidence about topics he doesn’t have much knowledge in.

I just listened to your latest episode, I am a regular listener and enjoy hearing various perspectives. But, at least two of your panelists could not have been more ignorant of the underlying reason for a government decision to remove the carbon tax from home heating fuel in Atlantic Canada. Your...Read full review »

Everyone knows the CBC is heavily biased toward the Liberals. This show is no different, but it’s a good way to gauge what the Liberals are thinking of themselves. Better than nothing.

This seems like it would be a nice podcast. However, the sound quality seems remarkably low, so I can’t really listen to it for that long.

Hi there, Significant audio issues on the Sept. 28 ep. Any chance you can reissue?

The show is interesting but I can barely hear the show. I have to turn my volume on max - I’ve tried three sets of headphones. Then once the episode ends and some other podcast comes on, it blasts my eardrums to hell lol. Please fix the sound! Other than that, great show. Rosemary is a Canadian...Read full review »

The audio levels for the different people who are speaking in this podcast can be radically different. When you get the volume right for the person who’s speaking, you either can’t hear the next person or they blow out your eardrums because they’re so loud. The “background music” that they...Read full review »

If you’re concerned about politicians de-humanizing their political enemies why give Trudeau a pass? As if he never stoops that low.

I like that when Rosie asks a politician a direct question, she holds that person to answer the question and not let the person fluff and time waste.

I just tuned in to catch Andrew Coynes comments on the Alberta election. He stated that Ms. Smith was surrounded by individuals who were not from planet earth. Really, Mr. Coyne! Your arrogance knows no bounds. Perhaps CBC can find commentators with more humility for this program.

An American democrat politician doesn’t sit down with any journalists that ask tough questions only ones that will portray them in good light…fat head ( Rosemary Barton) only does propaganda journalism

I found your discussion regarding Danielle Smith interesting. When the comment was made addressing why would people vote for the UCP based on her behaviour perhaps our prime ministers behaviour and ethical lapses could also have been addressed as from my perspective their behaviour is very...Read full review »

I used to love cbc now I force myself to listen to it just to hear what the political left is saying. I want to hear a balanced view on things. It’s unfortunate that cbc can’t better reflect the diverse views of the people who fund it. When speaking of polarization, Andrew Coyne spoke of a...Read full review »

Limited sound bites , based to the liberal point of view . Everything the government does is due to , an emergency. The government gets the applause from the people they pay , the cbc propaganda machine is well oiled .

I find the pace of the discussion a breathless race to beat a time clock. It is a good show and I like the panelists but it is too abbreviated. I’d like to hear more thorough discussion and counterpoints.

I used to really enjoy all of the CBC programs. That is, when they did actual reporting. Nobody that works there is reporting the full story anymore. Apparently, that sweet, sweet liberal money is too good. How can show about politics, not question a single Fiberal Minister, about why new court...Read full review »

The only thing that would make this podcast better is if it were longer or Rosemary was given a separate longer podcast like Party Lines was. CBC is sleeping on Rosemarys potential. Keep up the great work! -Keelin Pringnitz

Insightful perspectives by seasoned analysts on Canadian politics. Views are mainstream but reflect both liberal and conservative spectrums and focus on provincial sensitivities. The panel does not shy away from criticizing either the government or opposition parties when warranted. Great job.
