Like sitting on a hill after class with your friends
This podcast is engaging and fun even if you have pretty limited knowledge of the X-men comics, it’s very welcoming— not just in tone but also you can start almost any ep and jump around from characters who interest you— i’ve found this often gets me curious about other characters and unravels in a fun way. Connor brings on great guests and the conversations are warm and hilarious, with lots of time spent discussing queer subtext and marginalization in general, and often how the politics of the time at publication influence what paths the characters are allowed to take etc. It means a lot to me as a person who loved the X-men as a kid and didn’t have access to full shows or comics. I’m so grateful to this podcast for making this both special and soapy world more accessible to me and others.

Great deep dive into X-history. Always entertaining and I always learn something. Reminds you how weird, interesting and thoroughly F’d up X-history is. does lose a star, for not using the tag line ‘the show where a superior homo talks about homo superior’
