Interesting story
I thought the most interesting piece of the story was the mother. She was completely detached from reality, and treated her 15 year old son running away to Canada for a year as though he had stayed out past curfew. Kind of an “well sure we wondered if he went with Kyle…but who knows?”The entire family is extremely odd but once you start hearing all their crazy conspiracy theories it all begins to make sense. I do wish the host had challenged them a bit more than he did.

Same took a story I knew well and made it so engaging - and researched with such vigour and tenacity - that I think he could read cereal ingredients in such a way that I’d put it on repeat. Beautifully told, and responsibly reported. Probably ruined endless, lesser, podcasters for me!

Absolutely love that not only is this a story of what happened but a story of what happened SINCE. Really good.

Sam. You did such a good job infusing compassion into this story. I was riveted episodes 1-4, 6-7. But then, I admit, I just started to despise Roan and Kyle. Still, I finished the show because it was beautifully crafted despite their hubris.
