“The show format allows its hosts and guests to deep-dive into the technical analysis of the system while still having fun and being welcoming to its listeners.
Every month is a journey into a different system, some familiar, some more obscure but all of which were thoroughly discussed. Character creation is, as expected, examined in great details, but Amelia and Ryan also go to great length to talk with their guests about options for chracter evolution and how well these mechanics fit the game's other elements, such as themes and atmosphere.
Their guests all love and know the system they play inside out so it's a blast to listen to. But don't let that fool you into thinking that they would blindly defend the system. Many constructive criticism of each system can be gained from listening to their experience, which helps if you're something of a designer yourself.
