Episode 103 - with Dawn
Thank you so much for this broadcast. I am an at-school chess player and although we have a chess set in the house my games are very basic and I don’t have a rank. To be honest i am aware of chess masters but it never occurred to me that Chess was so organised as a competitive sport. I had to look up a few terms and references but I was encouraged to get my old set out and will be challenging the hubster to a game to get my mind back into it. Your conversation was really engaging and informative. I really enjoyed it. Such a natural approach. Well done - keep on broadcasting and Dawn - Brava! keep on playing. Of course, you both will. xxJane

I love the different perspectives that Dr. Scull gets each week. One week it’s IM elect Tatev Abrahamyan or WGM Jen Shahade the next week it’s a computer programmer that has just played in their first OTB tournament. Like I said in the title, keep ‘em coming! -NM Craig C.

I think it’s tough to get started in chess. There are lots of wrong turns to take. This podcast has helped steer me in the right directions. It’s also just a good way to get to know the game and the people in it. Thank you!

I have jumped back into playing chess and I love to listen to this podcast to hear how people approach improving.
