Good story but with the normal level sounds and dialogue followed by intense loud noise of deep bass and strident echos, you won’t have time to adjust the volume. Listen without being plugged in.

The acting and audio quality are really incredible. At this point, I don’t expect anything less from BBC Radio 4. However, I felt the story was a bit thin. There were so many side characters that I didn’t get to know enough to connect with them.

After Shadow over Insmouth I was looking for something similar and the post show ads seemed to be pushing this. Given the intrusive noise and the the whole tension between dad and kid over dead mum who was apparently “psychic” seems to have been written by teenagers too.
