“I listen to this when I cycle round the hills of Wuyuan, Jiangxi where I live and it’s a highlight of my week. It will stretch the layman sinophile to learn, but for me is right in the sweet spot with good guests and a thorough line of questioning. I like that you guys go for the jugular of some of the big geo-political east meets west clashes of the day where some other podcasts pussyfoot away from them in favour of hipsterish focus on niche socio-cultural topics.
The highlight remains the hosts mellifluous, honey-steeped tones which are really wasted not leading a 70s soul band.”
