I'm from Brisbane and I listened to one of your podcasts a fortnight ago - knowing (& just LOVING) Chrissie from day dot, knowing of Sam from HYBPA (side note - the show was better when he was still the loser lol), ANYYYYYWAY, and now, I shamefully admit that I did not know browny, nor had I ever heard his name...but he has absolutely captured my heart - almost as much as chrissie!! He's such a funny guy, got a confidence without unlikable arrogance..he can be humble, have a laugh at himself and at the end of the day after all the "glitz and glam" of his rich lifestyle of being able to do whatever he wants, whenever he wants - he's still just a family man, who (mostly) loves his kids, and ADORES his little toddler one.
He's supportive of his gorgeous darl kyles at home (who must be a saint btw) ..and although obsessed with cashies, money, and really just ALL things money - he seems incredibly generous (maybe not regarding money - but with ANYTHING else...and really, I'm just LOVING getting to know the big lug!
(Ok I think I went a little bit OTT in that appreciation description, which I could do for all of the people in your radio bunch..but I'll leave it at this hah)
Anyway, back to my review!:
Being born & bred in Sydney, & living in Brisbane for the past 8yrs, I'm a staunch NRL supporter (actually, with Melbourne storm being close to my heart due to all the hectic good players that play such a massive part of our QUEENSLANDER side in state of origin) ...but yeah 😕 afl? I've got nothing...*BUT*!!!! I've learnt so much from all the footy talk you three indulge in, and hey - I'm really not all that opposed to it! ...it's actually kinda fun. I love sport, and I love learning about this new code (new code to me), in our country, that really - is a huge part of our culture (regardless of the tiny amount of the country that it's worshipped in - it's an integral part of being Australia, to at least TRY to take an interest in our elite sportsman. I mean...besides koalas, kangaroos and our beaches - what else do we need to represent our country but our sports!!!
After listening to that first episode of your podcast, obviously I fell in love. So I've been listening from as far back as iTunes will let me.
And listening to the episodes from the start of the AFL season, with Chrissie's boys in Yellow and black, and browny kiiiinda saying nahhh, don't get ahead of yourself - I've been on it and loving every minute of it whenever the Tiges win
AND YAY CONGRATS SWANNIE!!!! You've got no idea how EXCITED I AM FOR YOU!! WINNING THE FLAG, BREAKING A 37yr DROUGHT!!! (Btw, did you know that back in 1980, the mean house price was $39g and petrol was 23cents/litre!!)
But yeah!

Christie I support you so much that I feel like the win yesterday was my own win too! ... I'm starting of thinking to properly get on board with the afl next year (gosh I can't stand the 6months of no footy from October onward over summer 😭) ...I become so lost!!
Wowee NRL GF TODAY!!! Slater just finding his feet (hopefully hitting his real stride today) on the field, other injuries... plus thurston not playing this last game...my mind is just blowing.
Anyway.
I JUST LOVE YOU YOU GUYS!!!!!!!
(My only criticism would be for DEANO to become part of the "on air talent" (let's face it - he IS on air, and is incredibly talented. He has a quick wit & a sense of smarts that when he uses his instincts - are total rippers and just unexpected that it's more perfect that any way that could be possibly organised - MAKING the segments with his little sound effects, or one liners etc) and have him actually be recognised for his part in the success for your show...heaps of radio shows have people who press the buttons that are part of the team.
Right now, he definitely knows his place in your group when all in the studio, and he wrdoesn't intrude on the show regarding each of your specific talk breaks (unless invited IN to the conversation)...deano's pitch is an absolute winner - but he really should just be at the desk with you guys.
Maybe a change next year?

I think so many people would be really pleased to see deano getting recognised for his effortless and spot on winners with his random yet perfectly timed sound effects and one liners....I just love him!!!
