Wonderful subject material, delivery needs work
I was really excited to listen to the episode on Frau Perchta and Gryla, since I have done quite a bit of reading on Perchta but haven’t found much in the way of interesting analysis and certainly no gender-based comparisons of them with similar winter (but masculine) “punisher” figures. Sadly, right after the introduction, the entire thing was punctuated with loud and painful-sounding guttural noises. The narrator mentioned having a “dry throat,” but the noises were so loud and jarring that I found myself unable to continue. I’m going to see if the writer has anything online, but my advice for the future is to remember that podcasts are a medium, it’s not a live recording, and sound is important.

Topics are wide ranging and well researched. Host is open to both polytheistic and materialist lenses on topics. Audio is fine for the type of podcast it is and the ads are like many other programs.
