Katie has given me these words to ponder and act upon in her very down to earth, practical and “light bulb” moment podcasts! She shares and practices being kind and gracious to ourselves as we as makers negotiate our lives, art and sustainability in a tricky climate. Thank you so much for...Read full review »

What I really love about Katie’s podcast (and work) is that she helps me feel like my contribution is enough. Climate change and running a business as an artist both can feel so overwhelming but Katie has helped me to see that my own unique contribution can be enough. This podcast is a great...Read full review »

Such an appropriate discussion. Here in Sydney they are similar grassroots non profit enterprises that are trying to to move in this direction. (Eg Reverse Garbage, The Bower, Dressed for Success) it’s good to hear about what is happening in the UK.

So pleased you discussed current mending movements being very middle class. I’m concerned the wider messages about mending & sustainability, fast fashion etc does not consider those who don’t have the time, resources or skills to mend. I’d love to read how you explore this in your thesis....Read full review »

Having become a regular viewer of the Repair Shop it was interesting to hear Jay’s journey from childhood to celebrity. He is a passionate advocate of sustainability through repair not only for furniture but also for people. It was an engaging and humorous interview and well worth a listen.

Elegant and well-placed, presentation, allowing us, the listener, to view and understand ‘the object’, clearly. Allows guests to elaborate on their values and how they are channelling these values (what they are learning about and expanding their understanding of), in practical ways.
