Solid, informative, and even fun media criticism
Adam and Nima get into the weeds in a media & political landscape that seems to be nothing BUT weeds. The topics are large yet focused, the guests are knowledgeable and direct, and language is relentlessly dissected. I've learned more—and gotten more leads on how to learn more via books, articles, reporting, etc—from this show than anywhere else. Adam has a tendency to talk fast, but that just means you'll get more bang for the buck, so to speak. And while he admits to snarking on Twitter all the time, he does rein it in here so that it's never just about the lolz. Him and Nima are both passionate about their work, and it's readily apparent. You won't ever hear from producer Florence Barrau-Adams (except in one ep out of the 25 so far), but you can tell she's skilled at putting the whole package together. This is an all-star trio. This podcast has changed the way see the world. It has given me a more critical eye towards media and the stories it sells. This is one of the most valuable leftist podcasts.
