Essential
C'mon, admit it . . . you really couldn't talk very long about the differences between an executive order, a proclamation, and a memorandum, three actions that our presidents can and do unillaterally and frequently take. Neither could I, UNTIL I found this podcast. And now I listen to it as soon as a new one is posted. Some of it I am familiar with (I have remained politically active in one way or another over the course of my life, and I am married to a very active and intelligent woman with a PhD in Political Science, but nonetheless . . . I didn't know much about the actual history of the office of the President's Chief of Staff. Now I do, because of this podcast.) The episodes are incredibly clear, focused, to-the-point, and factual. No slanting toward political biases, no agendas, and usefully brief and clear. If you need a little refresher course in the basics of our government, and you're looking for a podcast, and not a text book, here is where you begin.Read full review »
