Audio - flat, Content - amazing
This little podcast only updates about once a month, so it's not a big time commitement. Audio quality is very average (mic has some background fuzz), although the reader is good. It's a straight read, no frills, sounds, or music. The stories, however, are incredible. I particular recommend "Night, in Dark Perfection" by Richard Parks. I listen to a lot of audio short fiction, and that story is in my top 5 for sci-fi, maybe top 3. If content is king, give this one a listen.Read full review »

I put these stories on to fall asleep to, but they often keep me up. Great story-telling. Thanks, Clarkesworld!

Minimal distraction, just great storytelling. The quality of the fiction ranges between good and excellent, and Kate Baker's narrations are fantastic: she has a great voice, her pacing is excellent, and she puts just the right amount of emotion into the retelling.Read full review »

I was browsing iTunes to add to my listening dance card and came across Clarkesworld and the lithe narration of Kate Baker. What a gem. I have a new favorite podcast.
