The content of these myth shows is very entertaining but I note that they mostly come from English Academics working in Australian Universities or institutions. No doubt they are sick of Australian jingoism about our war record being shoved down their throat. Likewise they wouldn't like the incompetence of English generals being pointed out or swallowing the fact that Churchill wanted Australia to leave all our best troops in the Middle East and leave us at the mercy of the Japanese. I will take these new perspectives on board but I won't swing completely away from the myths because I'm sure some other narkily motivated historian will soon come along with a whole new set of smartly pants iconoclasm for us poor layman to swallow.”Read full review »
