“I've been listening to this since the start of the COVID pandemic. It helped get my wife and I through that mayhem, listening in bed with a cup of tea in the morning. Since then, it is a go to on the commute home, the long solitary dog walk and even those quiet afternoons in the pub, sitting before roaring fire, doing a crossword and sipping a pint. The stories are beautifully read, free of extraneous clutter (eg "atmospheric" music), and nicely selected. And personally, I love the post-fable chatter about dogs, daughters and previous careers.
