Mixed Feelings
I first listened to the Gilead episodes and found them enjoyable, despite occasional disagreements with the podcasters' interpretations. However, I found the ruminations on justice in the Murder on the Orient Express episodes troubling at times, particularly in not grappling enough with the limits and dangers of personally-administered justice. On a technical note, there is an opportunity to balance volumes better - especially in the last 2 or three Orient episodes, i found myself repeatedly adjusting my volume dial up and down to comfortably listen to the softer (Tim) and louder (Angelina) voices.Read full review »

I wasn't an English major. I hated the books I had to read in high school. Literary criticism makes me nauseous. But I love stories. This podcast takes books you might have read in college or high school and finds their story and their voice. Makes reading fun again.Read full review »
