To be honest, a lot of the content goes pretty far over my head; however, I would rather have some exposure to some real-life programming discussion and feel out-gunned than feel like I'm wasting my time. I'm not a software engineer, but I am an engineer that is programming, mostly in MATLAB, for now. I really like the content, especially the banter about the individual preferences in hardware and software for workstations. Something I could use some better knowledge on is how to integrate some of the existing C++ projects/libraries (and other languages) into a C#/.NET project without ruining the whole thing. Also, if I were developing in C#, how can I make that project portable to another OS, like Linux, etc., should I need to later. I may also need to integrate some C++ as a foundation for CUDA C. I would also like some pointers to a series of good resources to start from minimal or no programming knowledge through developer knowledge-level. I have also been drawing some information about the good, the bad and the ugly of many programming languages from the Programming Throwdown podcast. I also like references to other people's podcasts, online courses, videos, etc. Keep up the great work! You have great voices for radio/podcasts.Read full review »
