“I have tried several other French podcasts and had purchased a highly rated CD set from Amazon and have found Coffee Break French the best of the bunch. The pace is slow compared to some other language courses, but because French is more difficult to learn than other romance languages (at least for me), I appreciate the slower pace. I really like the format of Mark speaks, pauses for me to repeat, and then Anna speaks. The length and coverage of each episode works very well for me.
My two complaints are the minimal of discussion of grammar and little discussion about spelling. Mark tries to avoid discussing grammar until necessary, but I personally would rather he more clearly discuss concepts of masculine and feminine, when articles are needed and when they are not rather than treat variations as special cases. Maybe this will change in later episodes. I would also like Mark to spell out words more often. I listen during my daily commute and often cannot view the bonus material or the enhanced podcast.
Overall, Coffe Break French is an excellent learning environment.”Read full review »

Good luck to all who...”Read full review »
