“I only recently started listening to podcasts regularly. For the most part, I tend toward crime serials (like Serial) and public affairs/politics (like The Oath) and I am usually not all of that interested in dissecting books, TV, movies - even those I love. But after recently binge-watching The Magicians and wanting MORE, I figured I'd see if I could find a podcast. I chose CKC Magicians podcast based on the rating and reviews, and boy those who came before me didn't stear me wrong. I LOVED it. It's like hanging out with and listening to friends. (Full disclosure: I'm a total introvert so the idea of me hanging out silently while friends dissect a topic is not particularly farfetched.) Jason and Cristina's deep dives into the material are just so satisfying and interesting. I tried another podcast (that gets a lot of the cast/writers as guests) and couldn't get into it at all. I felt no connection with the hosts and they just didn't seem to have the in-depth knowledge and joy that Jason and Cristina have for the show. Now that I'm caught up on The Magicians, I've started listening to CKC's GoT Final Season podcasts (which I'm loving just as much).”Read full review »
