In November of 2022 I was pregnant with my son, who knew a side effect of pregnancy would be multiple panic attacks a day? Not me. This podcast was one of the only things I could listen to and not end up in a panic. Thank you to Ma for her soothing voice, her past shenanigans, and her wisdom. I...Read full review »

These are the best stories. Strong, tender and with an edge. I’ve boiled with anger listening to the racism, and laughed out loud when she overturns it, bends the world to stride through it.

These stories are entertaining, sobering and educational for this privileged and evolving cis white male. Highly recommend!

This is so important. The stories speak about, speak to, speak against the loud stories of colonialism. To listen to these stories as I walk on stolen Muskogee/Creek land, to hear both the connections to larger issues facing Indigenous communities while getting the specific personal, sometimes...Read full review »

I love this podcast. So much. For a lot of reasons, but mostly because I feel like I’m at their kitchen table, listening to Ma’s stories, and enjoying a cup of coffee with them. Thank you Ma and Kaniehtiio 🙏🏼💛

I found this podcast when looking for a book to read on Canada Reads 2020 and I saw your name. Our mom’s were friends through CASNP and therefore I had to hear your Mom’s wild and crazy stories. My mom past away in 2012 and hearing your mom has brought back many memories for me and my sisters....Read full review »

I landed here initially due to the ties with Letterkenny. While vastly different, I consumed all the episodes because of the amazing stories. It gives me a glimpse of what it is like to be Indian/Native/First Nation. I am thankful for that.

This is the best podcast I’ve heard.... well ever! So funny, yet so heartfelt. It’s teaching me a lot about what it’s actually like to be Indigenous in Canada. Hope it continues so I can continue to learn! Love you Ma!

Love the way Ma tells her experiences, although heavy and important she knows how to make them light through laughter. I knew Tiio and her sister Waneek through water polo, and when I listen to these stories, I feel like I’m in the same room. Keep them coming!!

I adore this podcast. I started listening because I’m a fan of Tiio Horn’s acting work. What I totally saw coming was the charm, but what I couldn’t have seen coming was the incredible stories and emotional effect. I know she is a busy woman, but man: do I wish this was a weekly pod. My mom didn’t tell me stories about her life, but her sisters told me a lot of crazy stories about her life after she passed. I would have loved the chance to sit and hear these stories from her over coffee like this, so I’m kind of living vicariously through these two. And the stories are...Read full review »

I LOVE this podcast! So much so, that I was inspired to visit my grandma and take her for a ride to the land she grew up on and ask her questions about her upbringing. Masih for this very real, sometimes heartbreaking show!
