These guys must say the same thing 100 times. They repeat themselves over and over. In Episode 10, literally immediately after recapping all the “evidence”, they say “let’s recap the items we’ve found.” Riddled with grammatical errors and they frequently make misstatements (saying October when...Read full review »

Just finished Season 2 in one day. Hosts handle the homicide case and the role of forensic anthropology in a calm, thorough and thoughtful way. Hoping they return for more Seasons. I listen to a lot of true crime pods; this was one of the best. I learned a lot.

Hosts DRONE on and on and on and on…get it? Plus, the first episode was 13+ minutes of just themselves!!! Their voices have little inflection, enthusiasm and intonation. Very hard to listen to even tho I wanted to hear the story. Can’t go on.

It was Michael Douglas, and Sharon Stone, not Richard Gere.

Too much talking.. omg! Terrible!

The guys do a great job covering this case…very detailed and not overly speculative. Growing up in the Fox Valley and being a teenager at the time of Laurie’s disappearance, this case has always been close to my heart and she comes to mind often. I’m grateful you guys are covering it.

Love this podcast! Think about doing Connie Boelter next - such a weird, crazy story.

Interesting content but the hosts do all the talking. I’ve heard other podcasts like this one that play clips of court recordings, interviews, etc. to vary the voices heard in each episode. It gets a little redundant just hearing the same two voices the whole time. (It also sounds quite scripted...Read full review »

My major at UWO wasn’t anthro, but the best classes I had were Anthro classes with this professor. I’m stoked to be able to listen to a dense interesting anthropology podcast and furthermore I do not know of anywhere else you can find in real time cases being worked on by a professional...Read full review »

The way they cover these cases is great! I love their deep dives and being a Northeast Wisconsin resident my entire life these are cases I can remember the news coverage on.

These guys are so passionate in what they do- I’m excited to see how they use their skills in hopefully solving this new case!

Starts out interesting, then several of the last episodes are nothing more than the hosts going on about technical stuff; I skipped most of each of those. Really who cares “how” you search an area for human remains. That’s a whole different audience.

They found Starkie at high Cliff state park this September. We need a podcast update!

The first few episodes that outline the case are quite interesting. After that, it becomes long-winded, repetitive, and boring. Not much happens, frankly. The last half of the season could have been compressed into one or two episodes.

Starting to wonder if the 89 previous reviews are just students of the host. Feels a bit self-promotional starting with the excavation. Debating on whether I have the patience to see what happens. Might just fast forward.
