Good insight into movies
I have been getting more and more into movies now that I'm in my late 20s. This year one of my goals is to watch 4 movies per week (135 in so far). I listen to several different reviewers including Jeremy Jahns, Chris Stuckman, Collider movie talk, Schmoes Know, John Campea, and of course The Collider podcast. This podcast gives a more sophisticated view on films. I don't always agree with them, and sometimes they can come off a bit pompous (haha), but I enjoy their insights and opinions. I especially like their movie recommendations. Even though I haven't enjoyed all of them (e.g. The Fountain and The Graduate), I could see the merit behind the movies and what the directors were going for. I recommend this podcast if you want a professional's take on film. My question (in case this gets on their podcast) would be how they feel about roles in cinema. I feel that actors get most of the praise, more so than directors, writers, etc. It probably has to do with people connecting with what they see, the actors portraying the characters, as opposed to the directors and writers, who I feel deserve more of the credit as they create the characters, situations, tone, etc. Everyone of course is important in the grand scheme on things and has their part to play, but I feel actors are worshiped too much. I think they are mostly replaceable, and I certainly don't care about their personal lives. What are your thoughts?Read full review »

I really liked it, you have some wrestling insight and different opinions, especially where it comes to WWE - Kristian worked...Read full review »

Was looking for a film podcast, stumbled upon this one and loveeeee it! HOT TAKE:I liked "mother!" more than "It". "It", in my opinion, was mediocre and was essentially Stranger Things with demons.Read full review »
