“I had never listened to a history podcast until about a year ago. This one came up as a recommended listen on Spotify, and I was instantly hooked. It led me to the assumption that therefore I would also enjoy other history podcasts, so I subscribed to about 10 others. None of them do it for me like this one does, including Dan Carlin’s (which I’m not criticisng - it’s fantastic). The time and thought and commitment to quality that goes into each episode is unmistakeable, and the narrative is so well crafted, with such a consistently rich and compelling style. I can’t speak highly enough about it - it has both broadened and deepened my understanding of the past, and because of the colourful and robust storytelling, what I learn actually sticks. Invaluable; wonderful.
This is the only podcast review I’ve ever written. And as mentioned above, I listen (to hundreds of them) on Spotify and YouTube - I only came here to write this review.”
