Use to listen to this religiously, but can’t now because of the amount of ads, honestly ruins the pod, have to skip around 2/3 minutes every ep

This latest episode was creepy. Julian sounds like a new age person and speaks so slowly. It was just not good.

Hands down the best episode aside from the Joe Despnza ep. Such a great dialog between you all and Niel. Please invite him on to be a guest every so often.

Listened to a couple of episodes. Seems to me that these two hosts spend most of their time creating straw men in order that they can then destroy and discredit the person in subject and their ideas. At no time do they really tackle the related topics in a sincere and unbiased way. But really...Read full review »

Like a lot of other reviewers, I find the subjects covered by this podcast fascinating, but the petty snark and arrogance of the hosts has just gotten worse and worse over the years, and at this point it’s like a cyst that covers the whole show. The guys are head-smart, but their socio-emotional...Read full review »

A great name for a podcast, but it pushes the “blue pill” too hard. The harms we witnessed in our personal lives from the Covid Cult cannot be deprogrammed away by something like this podcast.

I listened to this podcast for a couple of years and even subscribed for a stretch. Increasingly, I’ve found it hard to listen. They’ve become annoyingly smug and still fail to fully acknowledge how many of these folks are straight-up fascist propagandists. They were once strong on yoga and...Read full review »

Delivered in an intelligent, well researched, thoughtful and often humorous way. I absolutely love it and thoroughly recommend! It has completely enriched my life. 🙌🏼 I also appreciate your thigh slapping amusement at one another’s anecdotes and some of the topics you cover! It’s infectious!

Such great content but even when paid it’s just so weird and the only way you can listen is if you pay. It is what it is but man, 7min teasers for $60 something a year? Ugh.

Was really excited to listen to this but was pretty quickly disappointed when the hosts turned out to be hypocritical, mud slinging bullies. Our culture seems to be teeming with folks that think that the best response to misogyny, racism, homophobia, and all sorts of hate speech is a slightly...Read full review »

Meh
Just another faux intellectual podcast by individuals who enjoy listening to the sounds of their opinions with guests who always agree as they criticize other (albeit much more annoying and misogynistic) podcasters for being the same way. The authoritative tone steers swiftly into pompousness...Read full review »

Loved the episode on Jay Shetty. Here’s to investigative journalism and actual data. So far this show is not annoying. The hosts can talk properly.
Gaylord Perry via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 04/04/24
Agree with mixed thoughts and needs an edit. Good topics but often feels very scripted. Too often, hosts take up too much space with long lead ins and/or commentary that kills the energy. Particularly annoying when guests have trouble getting a word in edgewise.

I am in my 35th year of teaching high school science and have devoted a great deal of time over the last few years trying to help my students avoid being sucked down the rabbit holes of conspiracy theories. This podcast has helped me keep my students informed!

I loved this podcast at first. The podcasters deconstruction of cults, cult leaders, and the psychology of mass movements was very informative. However, the more I listen to it, especially recently, the less valuable I find it. The position the podcasters take is easy to guess, whatever group or...Read full review »

I enjoy the podcast. I have been in the wellness world for several decades and also really enjoy critical analysis (aka being a hater). Should have stuck to wellness industry critiques and not Chris Rufo. He’s way outside of their intellectual capacity. Although I still listen to this podcast, I often ask myself why. What began as a valuable critique of cultic and conspiracy based thinking seems to be now an exercise in self-satisfaction and offering very little in the way of new understanding or perspectives.
