Intelectual snobbery
I saw the word “bloviating” in another review and it really hit the nail on the head. New age wellness culture pop spirituality meets conspiracy theories deserves critique for sure- but good grief- these guys have managed to take a potentially interesting topic and bludgeon it to death with intellectual snobbery, and constant credential/name dropping. You will hear the word “problematic” used to describe pretty much every figure and point of view analyzed. But the analysis doesn’t really ever get more nuanced from there. Pretty much- everything and everyone is.... problematic.
