7 Most Common Newsletter Mistakes (and How to Fix Them)
A few days ago I listened to this episode (for the 2nd time) and suddenly ‘wham’ it became crystal clear about what I needed to do to revamp by regular emails to all the people on my database. I was ‘driven’ to implement the ideas quickly… Within 2 days I implemented a 3-2-1 Grants email (adapted from what James Clear does): 3 ideas; 2 quotes from others; 1 question from me. Within 1 hour of sending the email out I had received two thank-you emails from people: “Thanks, I like these tips. We have a few projects that need doing, but need to prioritise.” “Thanks Prue, useful ideas.” It’s only been 24 hrs since I sent it and I have an open rate of 25%. The 2000 people in my database usually get 1 email a month (my free General Grant List) unless I'm offering Membership or my Masterclass opportunity. After listening to the podcast I realised I needed to be more regular with my help, and showing expertise, so decided to implement a weekly 3-2-1 Grants email which will include the General Grant List the 2nd week of each month. I've also planned out a feature topic for each month which will spread across Membership, free group, and my other socials. Various sub-topics will dictate the content to be included in each of the 3-2-1 Grants emails. This email idea meant I had to think through the importance of high level topics and then trickle them through everything I'm doing. This now gives me direction for all the posts, emails, videos which I have planned out from adapting the Broadcast email planner template (in our Marketing Mastermind files). Thank you so much for constantly providing ideas in your podcast episodes. It challenges me to rethink what I’m doing, to change things up, and try new things. Clarity and direction feels really good. I appreciate your passion about content and love how it impacts me and my business. Thank you so much. Prue Saxby - Grant Writing AcademyRead full review »
