Drifting into chaos lately
I got more out of the show back when they spent most of the hour talking about cooking issues, with the occasional amusing tangent. When Dave is in top form, his knowledge, creativity, passionately held opinions on food, and sense of humor make for truly compelling and informative listening. In recent months though, it feels like the show has become 85% off-topic chatter, and I often find myself identifying with the sometimes exasperated sounding producer as he struggles to keep the show focused. Dave, Hammer, et al are likeable and often very funny, but I miss getting to the end of an episode and feeling like I’ve spent an hour deepening my knowledge of cooking issues.

I’m astonished that the single episode I listened to featured 10+ minutes of aggressive abuse of Nastassia perpetrated by Dave. Appalling. That Dave thinks he can treat a woman like this demonstrates what a sick and violent man he is.
