Really loved the first two seasons. Perhaps my most favourite podcast of all time. But, the last season sucked. So sadly can only give 3 stars overall, which robs the first two seasons as they are 100% 5 stars! Please Alan and Amanda could you make another season?

For a long time I’ve been wanting to hear the voices of indigenous astronomers speak out about Mauna Kea and you all did it. Also liked hearing the stories of how deal with colonial culture in the STEM journey.

EDIT: The first two seasons are phenomenal! So many learnings, but sadly the latest season is more of a discussion about politics rather than science. I get that things evolve, but this season should have been a completely new podcast so as to keep the original in tact. Original review: Such...Read full review »

Sorry but the latest season is more about politics than the cosmos. Used to be astounding in the first few seasons to hear the universe layed out in a beautiful fashion. Just hope they get back to the core of the show and try to induce that vertigo again!

Much preferred old hosts and subjects. It’s way too political now. I just want to zone out and listen to some interesting astronomy topics.

Hmm
Not as bad as everyone says, but their voices will drive me insane.

Can we get Alan and Amanda back, I don’t remember them complaining about the advances in technology whilst taking full advantage of the same technology. If Corey stops calling everything best friend of the show and Karlie stops trying to sound like she is from absolutely fabulous

Excellent podcast - loving the new hosts! Learning lots and enjoying the chat, super interesting topics :)

When I think back to cosmic vertigo I have a great fondness for learning. Now I feel like I’m listening to gossiping high schooler who only know tiktok. Like omg. I couldn’t make it through the first full podcast without having to stop and listen to something else. Maybe I’ll try again in...Read full review »

Such an outstanding podcast now just trading on the name after slotting two goofball presenters into a competent articulate personable space.

This was a fantastic podcast for those with an interest in astronomy with just the right mix of science and fun to make it into my "must listen to" list. That was for the first two seasons with Alan and Amanda. Season 3 makes my ears hurt. The hosts may be trying to appeal to a teen or...Read full review »

Amazing astronomy podcast, best I’ve heard. Alan and Amanda are hilarious and present complex info in a way that the regular person can understand and appreciate. I’m very much hoping there are more episodes to come

This is, by far my favourite podcast out there. I am an aspiring astronomer and impatiently wait for each new season to come out. This podcast is a 10/10!

The production and sound design on this podcast is excessive and detrimental to fantastic content and presenters.

This show is so goo! It's definitley mind-blowing boiling down a lot of the technical language so that people can understand. I really enjoy their metaphors.Read full review »

This is by far the best science podcast I’ve listened to, every episode is mind blowing. The way the hosts explain everything is wonderfully simple to understand and it’s a joy to listen to. It’s by far my favourite way to learn about the wonders of our universe. Please make more!

The facts I learn have become things that I love to share with others. Engaging content and quirky host banter. Tops!

A definite recommend. In this ABC (Australian Broadcasting Commission) Radio National production, two astronomers pick a space related topic each week to delve into. They do a great job of conveying the mind-blowing wonder of the universe.

Bit late to the show having only stared listening in the last could of days but have gone through all of season 1. Thanks for all the effort the 3 of you have put in. Would love to see a YouTube version where we could see some visuals of what you are talking about. Keep up the great work.

Love it! And I think the second series is even better than the first. Where can they go to from here?
Permac via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/10/18
One of my all time favorites. Their enthusiasm for astronomy is infectious as it is informative. They are great ambassadors for science for all ages. Kids love it, I love it. Give them a listen.

It feels like a strange kind of relief to have a name for the feeling I’ve had since I was a child - now I know it’s Cosmic Vertigo! Great podcast - keep the episodes coming please.

I binged on these and now I wait impatiently for each instalment. I find myself telling people about this podcast and even got my 8year old to listening to an episode with me.

I like the hosts and the information they provide. However, the production and editing is annoying and gets in the way. Its like someone trying to explain something complicated to you while you are at a construction site. The formula is popular as proven by radiolab but it just isn't for me.Read full review »

I’ve tried different podcasts about space over the years, and Cosmic Vertigo is by far the best. The hosts have great chemistry and really know their stuff (and how to communicate it). The editing and production is also perfect, which keeps the episodes tight and interesting.

Great hosts, great format. The podcast lays out everything in an ever expanding view of the universe as we know it. Even able to explain complex ideas such as dark energy in a related way. An unfocused, disjointed rambling string of astro-trivia with no discernible goal or target audience and with a presenter who never saw an "a" or "an" she couldn't replace with a "this" instead. The incessant silly giggling makes it unlistenable.

This is a great podcast. It makes Astronomy enjoyable and understandable and as a woman interested in Space who doesn't have a physics or astronomy background, its a really nice balance to have both female and male astronomers who make it fun. Please keep making it :)Read full review »

When they're being serious, this is actually very good. The presenters are well spoken and natural and the subject matter is well explained. But the incessant giggling, it's just... infuriating, and after a few episodes I just can't do it anymore. If they come back in season 2 and...Read full review »
