I had the benefit of an affinity for these nerds coming into this; giving me the patience to tolerate some audio clips from their live shows that would have otherwise been a dealbreaker for a podcast. I do not know why this is- why I have such an aversion to hearing any audio that wasn’t recorded under perfect studio quality conditions- but I do. I hate live versions of songs so much too, and I refuse to listen to them- no matter who or what or why. NOPE. But anyways, after struggling to sit through one show I had racked up about 4 here, and I just let this podcast play one day, all four episodes, while putting away laundry and cleaning up my house. So- long story short it’s become one of my favorite shows, my partner requests this show so much now that I feel guilty if I’m listening without him. I hate it that it took me so long to get over my persnickety audio woes to get into this show but now it clears my feed within hours of each new episode posting. Naomi and Andy you’re doing god’s work and she wants you to keep it up! I feel like this will only get better as you go, and it’s already truly great. I like the dynamics of most people featured and I LOOOOVE the dynamics of our hosts’ relationship. I feel like this couple’s eyes wouldn’t glaze over if I started a sentence with “well... if you wanna get into semantics ...”
