The best things in life are free and simply brilliant.
Coverville is both. The simplicity is the premise of the show: play cover songs. The brilliance is in the fact there are SO MANY cover songs in so many genres that there is enough content to keep Coverville going until around 2050 with no repeats. The host of Coverville is Brian Ibbott, a man clearly passionate about music in all its forms (even originals). Although he sounds very professional he has just enough of the 'indie' factor to make the show better than anything commercial radio has ever offered. This is a man who loves music playing songs he enjoys. Each show is a surprise. A gift even. Every musical genre is included eventually. Mainstream artists and unsung indie bands share the Coverville stage. Some shows are a hodge podge of artists by request while others are themed (such as covers of a single artist or covers of all the songs on an album or covers in a particular musical style). Regardless of the content there's always a song you've never heard or a song that brings back memories or a song that has you rushing to the local CD store. Subscribe. You'll be glad you did.Read full review »

I thought this was a great idea when I first found it - very original and creative. I was right! Brian puts out a great show every week. He finds all kinds of different artists and takes on classic songs (the Journey show was especially fun). Highly recommended!
