Gold Standard
I love true crime stories, but have grown to hate true crime podcasts. True crime is a tough subject, ultimately there are real victims with real friends and families. Many true crime podcasts exploit either the victim or their story. Worse, they tend to make the story about themselves. Some of the most revolting podcasts came about from cases like Maura Murray, Ear Ons, or other limelight cases. Crawlspace is the anti trash to the trash this genre spawned. Just as the hosts did when podcasting the Maura Murray case, the empathy they afford the victim in this case reflects how painful this case is. Rather than capitalize on the misfortune of others, the crew at Crawlspace use their research for good, not evil, and not as exploitation. The reason these cases are mysteries is they haven't been solved. While I can't say the Crawlspace team will solve this case, I can say they will take great care not to disparage the victim, wrongfully accuse the friends and family of the victim, or make the podcast about the pain their investigation caused them. This cast, just like their prior podcast, Missing Maura Murray, is a thoroughly researched, brilliantly narrated podcast with the point of view, and possible rescue of, the victim.Read full review »

would give this podcast five stars but Lance is so unbearably annoying it's getting hard to listen to. He asks all the most obvious questions and goes off on long complicated rants where no one knows what the hell hes talking about anymore. Lance, edit yourself dude.Read full review »

If you love crime shows & missing-person programs, then you'll love this podcast. I enjoyed the Missing Maura Murray podcast. Crawlspace's Brianna Maitland case is even creepier & more intriguing. Looking forward to digging in deeper to this case.Read full review »
