Amazing insight and touching stories
I’ve always been a fan of tv shows like investigation discovery. But I was referred to crime beat because of a story of a little girl Mieka Jordan who was murdered here in my home town of Calgary Alberta Canada. I followed the case closely in the news as everything came up. But crime beat in a way gave a sense of closure to the sad story of this tortured little girl and showed the immense strength and inspiration of her biological mother Kayla as it shed light on the turmoil she endured through trials, appeals and finally the conviction from the Supreme Court of Canada for first degree murder. May this little soul Rest In Peace and may this reporter find some peace in the horrors she investigates.

Nancy strikes a good balance between too much horrifying details and enough information to follow the story. Do t ever cross that line Nancy. There are some things we just don’t “need to know” Well done.
