9 points of critique for a problematic podcast
1. Website has no information other than recordings. 2. No credit given to resources used to tell stories or credit from pictures used.. 3. Extremely scripted/stiff. 4. I reallllllly dislike the shoutouts to patreon members. 5. Instagram page has content ALL over the place, doesn’t adequately mix personal with branded content with crime related posts (even briefly looking at IG page its super random) makes it very hard to figure out what their niche is in the monetizing crime scene world. 6. No reasons why crimes were chosen to highlight (again ALL over the place with no real consistency). 7. Timing of episodes are so short there isn’t enough to give real details. Many assumptions and generalizations are made. 8. Podcast hosts are giving rewards for 5 star reviews (usually for new podcasts reviews in general are asked for not blatant perfect scores to boost ratings — makes it hard to tell if this is actually a respected well researched podcast [it isnt] or if it’s just inflated from friends/family/etc. 9. And worst yet sometimes opinions are cites with rash judgment and criticism. Not so sure how long this podcast will last.

I download so many podcasts but end up deleting them after the first episode because they don’t catch my interest, but I found Crime Salad and it’s quickly became one of my favorites. The hosts do a great job. If you like true crime you’ll...Read full review »
