Clancy episode
This was the first episode I’ve listened to, and it will also be my last. If I could give it zero stars I would. Some of the most irresponsible reporting I’ve ever heard. Stephanie spends part of the episode comparing Lindsay to Chris Watts. Why? Chris Watts was a cheating husband, who did not want to be married anymore. He killed his pregnant wife and 2 daughters in cold blood, and then hid them in oil tanks. Lindsay Clancy was suffering from Postpartum mental illness, and had been seeking treatment for it. These cases are not related one bit. Any knowledgeable reporter would have referenced the Andrea Yates case. Also, it was evident in the back and forth with these two about how much further we have to go to understand postpartum. More study and research should have gone into it before letting these two discuss it in front of an audience. On one occasion the cop states, “ if you are having suicidal feelings, just go kill yourself.” Followed up by him saying he’s not promoting suicide but,…..Really? I understand cases like this are tragic and horrific, and very upsetting. But come on, do better. Read about the Andrea Yates case, and how these women try to get the help they so desperately need. They are failed by a broken healthcare system.

More reviews of Crime Weekly
I’m sure a lot of us follow these cases and watch a million different videos/documentaries on them, but I feel like Derrick and Stephanie offer a fresh perspective; an interesting point of view. Worth the listen!

There are so many podcasts that have a lot of detail but the hosts have voices that just irritate me. Then there are podcasts with great voices but thin on the details. It’s rare to find one with both great hosts and incredible detail on the crime as well as the victim. This podcast has it all,...Read full review »

Stephanie, and Derrick! Yes, please. I’ve followed both for quite some time, I’m a huge fan. Can’t wait to listen to them on another platform!
