A truly insightful episode with Professor Colin O’Gara touching on the reality of addiction in Ireland. Overall this is a great podcast. I think Nicola does a great job at avoiding the glamorisation of Irish drug gangs.

Great podcast guys.....fascinating to listen and hear other perspectives on modern day Ireland and life. Great journalists involved with these stories. Particularly enjoy Nicola’s story telling episodes (two parter) in early Jan 2022…..!! Cannot wait to see Omertà in Galway in May 2023.

Love the show, Nicola. There’s surely no greater authority on the Kinahan cartel and the show has thoroughly explored the group’s rise and fall. The podcast specialises on Ireland’s drugs scene which, as a true crime fan, I find compelling. My one caveat is that Nicola seldom (ever?) debates the...Read full review »

Love your Podcasts Nicola but please do not have Brad on speaking about crime in the US or anything else! He is the most boring guy to listen to and he speaks so badly. You and your team are great and I could listen to you all day. You make every subject interesting and informative but I just...Read full review »

Good podcast but downgrading Katie taylor fight to talk about crime is a low for even you to get people’s attention. As buff Egan would say OUT OUT to ye

I look forward every evening to hearing the latest upload. Great banter too between Nicola & Niall. Best True crime podcast. Agree with previous reviewer re the American guest. Its very hard to listen to him saying ‘you know’ so so often. A real turn off.

Despite letting it be known she is a dirty Fine Gaeler on episode 236, this is a largely enjoyable podcast. Personal politics left aside, easy listening and informative - political options obviously tinged though.

Discovered this podcast about 6 months ago and binge listened the entire library at bedtime . The presenters give factual knowledge and the content is not sensationalized or over produced. At times it can be funny and I find it interesting their honesty of how boring trials are and how...Read full review »

This is the best style of true crime / organized crime podcast. It’s just matter of fact. There’s no host making constant groan inducing jokes. But it’s conversational and not boring. It’s a good mix between the more pop culture style organized crime podcasts and the dry purely academic ones (but...Read full review »

I really love this podcast but the last few I haven’t enjoy. Was loving the Hutch trial coverage but very little on it since xmas and i’ve had to listen to the other podcast covering it. But overall it is a great Podcast and I love listening to Nicola.

Some good podcast,it can be a bit “north Dublin” bashing. When a gang from south Dublin are mentioned they say “Dublin” but quick enough to put “north Dublin “in front of an area.

Generally very good. Who is narrating the Bomber Kavanagh pod, horribly forced accent, like an Irish actor trying to break into the RADA scene back in the day, cringe 😬

Great info in each podcast…. But please both stop saying “you know” it is repeated in every sentence. I don’t know. Hence why I am listening to the podcast. Thanks

Funny if I’d listened to a one off about the Hutch / kinahan saga I would probably not be too impressed. But Nicola and Niall definitely over time draw you in and I reckon they are both a lot sharper and intelligent than they let on to be with their, just one of the boys having a chat charm....Read full review »

Great series of podcasts. Nicola asks all the right questions from a journalistic point of view, but most importantly, from a readers point of view, she catches our curiosity. All delivered with humanity.

Love the crime elements of podcast but the whiskey club thing is not good. Such a shame as look forward to an episode then feel disappointed when it’s reviewing an old film.

Love listening to these podcasts. The Gerry Hutch trial is incredibly interesting! I’d never heard of him until around 4 years ago. I’ll be interested to hear the Kinahan latest when the news breaks, as seems to be at a standstill at the moment..

Nicola would make looking at paint drying on a wall exciting - great insight into the machinery behind the court and legal system filling in the blanks for anyone who’s not familiar with the way things work in Ireland.. never boring and to the point 👍

definitely knows her way around the underworld in Ireland and it’s tentacles around the world. disappointing to see her increasing shift to making a pantomime of this serious problem. her liberty hall “show” is one example of this shift.
