Rigorously researched spooky fun!
As a Buffalo-area horror audio drama concerned with crimes, the supernatural, and COVID, we figured we were a pretty niche deal. But apparently we're not alone as we thought we were out here, because we finally found someone who seems to spend as much time frantically googling "Sadie McMullen, Child Murderess" as we do! Joshua Spellman's excellent work here digs up some spooky Rust Belt goodness perfect for the commute, a long drive, or a dark rainy night and a glass of wine. Spellman's skills as an archivist and librarian are clear--he has personality and and bouyant narration, but he backs up his commentary with thorough grounding in primary/secondary sources and archival materials. A lot of these true crimey/documentary shows don't know how to find the balance between fun and research, but that just isn't the case here. Spellman knocks it out of the park, and we will certainly be tuning in as he keeps delivering quality content! Let us know if you ever need anything, and keep on doing your thing!Read full review »

I LOVE ghost stories and urban legends. Mainly because they’re fun but they also gives us insights to the local history. I love that Josh researches the origins and true facts of the events that sparked the stories. To me it adds a fullness and completeness to them. Love love love it!
