Simply irresistable
I started with the political gabfest years ago and when this podcast started I knew it would be special. Andy Bowers (executive producer of slate podcasts) has done something remarkable with this brand, I endorse it every chance get. Back to Culture podcast, in all it's highminded liberal elitism, there is substance and very thoughful conversations that is a pleasure to listen to week after week. Dana, who I have had the pleasure of conversing with on Twitter is awesome! Steve will be Steve, and Julia who's voice I couldn't tell apart from Dana earlier creates a very well balanced crew. I find this podcast enjoyable and informative. However, to more than occasional “F-Bomb” and almost weekly explicit language keeps me from recommending it to those I know.

The Culture Gabfest si one of Slate's stronger offerings - for someone starved of intellectual stimulation (like wot I am) there's edifying repartee, fab tips and a good look at low-highbrow culture. Something like a nice glass of chianti with a hamburger. Hold the fava beans!Read full review »
