Stage 9 of the Tour de France was the second day in the high mountains and clearly, the Tour de France is far from over. Except for a few of the sprinters, their Tour de France is over. A strong four-rider breakaway took the third stage of the Giro Donne.

Stage 6 introduced some crucial questions about the green jersey competition and the M-word record. At 249 km stage 7 is the longest stage at the Tour de France in the last 20 years, and it's not flat. The Classics guys could thrive in the finale, making for an interesting fight for the breakaway.

Stage 2 of the Tour de France finished atop the Mûr de Bretagne. The final 18 km were perplexing and then heartwarming, with a post-race interview that brought a tear to the eye.  Ronan flagged down Dan Martin and Jan Bakelants for a chat.
