Another annoying Wondery podcast that leeches the top of your podcast feed, above more recent shows. Unsubscribed.

The script for the narration is absolutely horrendous, ruins the entire story
alexhayes4 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 10/04/24
Removing all but the first episode to force people to pay for Wondery ? That is pretty disgusting. Guess I will stop following any Wondery shows.

I wish there was more of this type of journalism……..reporting and disregarding the corruption that is rampant in government

I get so tired of seeing reviewers giving 1 star not bc the podcast is good but bc of ads. Would you spend months of your time for free? Well why should anyone else! Ads is how they feed their families.

A hugely important story, but the production was too dramatic for my taste. And never a fan of when the host/presenter put themselves too much in the story. Stephen acts like he discovered the story, was the only one who cared, though it was widely reported at the time. Left a bad taste in my...Read full review »

I remember when Daphne’s was murdered and had no illusion about the motive that drove har assassins even though I didn’t know the details. Thank you for not giving up.

An intelligent, excellently presented look into the assassination of a journalist working on exposing the corruption occurring in her country. From a horrific death to the uncovering of those responsible you are taken on the story with her sons (journalists themselves) to finally uncovering what...Read full review »

Great story. Even though I knew mostly nothing about Malta and who Daphne was but was totally engrossed in the story. Hooray for the brave and smart journalists who helped move this along to solving it. It isn’t complete yet but I hope these folks will continue to report on the events to come.

An incredible story, interviews with both victims and monsters. Up there with In the dark Season One, Up and Vanished, Hunting Warhead and The Dropout.

This is an excellent podcast. A fascinating account that we should all care about. What a magnificent woman Daphne was and is. All credit to her family and the network of journalists who did not rest until the truth was revealed. Thank you!

Gripping narrative, brilliantly written. Flawless production & sound design. Brave & important work. Stephen Grey is easy on the ear.

In the last episode Stephen Grey laments the frustration of not being able to bring criminals to justice. In the case of Daphne the crowd chanting “justice” and harassing the political elite has brought some justice. The Maltese people have a bit more freedom because of Journalists Without...Read full review »

This is a smashing podcast and we want to know what happens next. Careful investigation, filled with drama, about one of the issues that will keep opening up: international networks of corruption and the brave souls who expose them. Paul Caruana-Galizia has also exposed this critical issue...Read full review »

Brilliantly narrated and fascinating case of importance. A major achievement, in my opinion. Where will we be without truth?

Murdered journalists are a threat to our democracies the world over. Bringing perpetrators to justice restores faith and trust in the governments that we elect. Well done to the journalists that tirelessly pursued justice in this important case.

Absolutely have loved every episode of this podcast so far, it’s brilliantly put together and well researched. Each episode builds a deep story (that is easy to follow, not sure why others had issues) that is fascinating. Recommend to anyone interested in true crime!

Scary, insightful and gripping. Have been interested in this story for a while. Was told very well without being too sensationalist.

Finished it in less than 2 days. On the drive to New Hampshire. Very engaging. Incredible characters. I wonder when the movie will be made. Has the potential to be award winning. Will there be updates to this podcast as the players go to court or more secrets are exposed? Well done!

As a Brit living in Malta the apathy towards this whole case is shocking. Never known a place as corrupt from the top down. Great that someone is digging into this hornets nest of a case as I can’t see the Maltese police or judiciary doing a damn thing. I wish you all the best. 💪🏻
