“I have lived in Maine my entire life and I love this podcast!! I grew up in Northern Maine🌲and have since moved to Portland. I love true crime and listen to multiple different podcasts and always found myself thinking “that kind of stuff doesn’t happen here.” Thanks to Kylie, I now know that’s not true. I spent a lot of time listening to Kylie on The Q Morning Show when I used to commute for work in college and she was always a welcomed voice during my rides. Dark Downeast feels like listening to an old friend tell you about true crime stories in your area. Kylie living in Maine makes this podcast so much better because you get the locals perspective and she knows what it’s like to live here. The one comment about Forest Ave being awful struck a chord with me. I dread driving anywhere on Forest Ave because traffic is insane and the intersections look like they were designed by a toddler. It’s small moments like that, that has made Dark Downeast my new favorite podcast!! Thank you for all your hard work Kylie and putting out such a great show!! I definitely recommend it to every person I know 😂”
