I enjoy hearing about the stories Kylie presents on the show. I hope this helps the families.

I have really enjoyed listening to Dark Down East. Narration is easy to follow and flows so smoothly. As requested here’s my emoji 🦞 I’m years behind obviously but catching up quickly.

Kylie does an incredible job. I've listened to thousands of episodes of true crime podcasts, but hers are the best.Read full review »

Kylie has such a calming, soothing and steady narrating voice and she is so respectful and thorough in her reporting and storytelling. I’m enjoying the backlog of episodes since joining Audiochuck and admire the team’s commitment to fighting for justice and seeking answers in cold cases while...Read full review »

I ran into this podcast on accident while I was listening to Seriously and it was the best accident ever! I’m down here in the South West in the state of New Mexico and haven’t made it quite that far east yet. So I obviously don’t know the experience of living by the ocean or inland towns....Read full review »

Kylie does a great job getting these stories out in a detailed yet succinct way. Her delivery is enjoyable as she is even toned without sounded rehearsed or insincere. One of my go-to’s for sure.

Is it just me, or is the host’s voice the perfect voice to fall asleep to? She’s helped me through insomnia for months now (Along with the podcast Lore). It’s so calm yet not so boring/monotone that your mind wanders to your to-do lists etc and you can’t sleep. It’s also good to listen to while...Read full review »

Kylie’s voice is so soothing to listen to. You can hear her heart go out to the victims and their family members. The music is so fitting and the way Kylie speaks of each story is detailed and heartfelt. I love when there are guest speakers of real family members too. To hear about the victim...Read full review »

I LOVE crime podcasts, but I always stop listening because they lack empathy, respect and compassion for the victims and their families/ friends. Kylie is the MOST empathetic and kind story teller I have had the pleasure to listen to. The work she does WITH the families and the amount of care and...Read full review »

This is the only great and original podcast to come off audiochuck. Thankfully, I can FF through the ad for Crime Junkie because I cannot stand to hear her speak and that’s the only part I don’t like.

🌊I’ve been listening to crime junkie since it started and that’s where I heard about this amazing show! I have been listening to every show starting at the beginning and I love it! Thank you for telling the stories of Maine/New England’s people. Much love from Texas!!🌊

Kylie’s voice is calm and comforting. I usually listen while doing home improvement Sometimes she speaks too quickly, and I seek the 30 sec rewind button. But, it’s worth it. She carefully omits gruesome descriptions which would offend. I appreciate when she tells listeners that she is not...Read full review »

Got here from listening to crime junkie and I really like this podcast. I’ve been binging and I just listened to Darien Richardson’s story.. it broke my heart. I think Kylie and her fellow writer(sorry, I have forgotten the name)do an excellent job with the research and creation of these stories. I’m drawn to Kylie’s voice and like the pace of narration even with the occasional, overly long awkward pauses between some segments. I have started from the...Read full review »

🌊I recently became a Crime Junkie fan and, as a Mainer, was so excited to find that Crime Junkie’s platform produces this podcast about crimes that have taken place in New England! I love it! Binged this podcast…love Kylie’s approach…but as the seasons progressed…music started playing in the background. It was so distracting and loud…I don’t mind background music…as long as it doesn’t get annoying. Must be an AC thing

Detailed, engaging and ethical narratives without the prurient emphasis of lesser true crime storytelling.

Not a fan on the delivery of this show. I also don’t like the complaining and criticism. Leave it out and focus on the victims and their story.

There is one thing that will kill a true crime podcast for me. Syrupy, bleeding-heart projections about the victim(s). We really do not know what a victim’s life would be like today if they had not been murdered. Why do so many podcasters gush on with speculations about “the wonderful things”...Read full review »

Kylie hets straight to the story and treats the victims with respect. My only complaint is the vocal delivery -- kind of like a ten year old girl impersonating Christopher Walken. It's like listening to someone read clippings from a newspaper. While the only thing, seemed researched is all the side notes. That in-turn make you question what case, wth your listening to?! Some listeners can be the fly. Some can be the windshield.Read full review »

I can see why Audiochuck picked this podcast up because it has the same victim centered respect and somberness without any extra fluff. Authentic with an incredible soothing voice, this host is a total gem and I hope more discover this great podcast because of the Audiochuck playform. ❤️

Just wanted to say, amazing podcast. But you know what I’ve noticed? All of the stories I’ve listen to so far (there might be some different that I haven’t listened to) are murdered women, the murders always being committed by men. what does that say about our society?
