I’m a Boston girl , true crime addict. I was diagnosed with a serious disease this year. I’ve been undergoing chemotherapy and literally this podcast was my go to and still is my go to when I need to distract myself on dark days. Thank you Kylie! Love the content. I love the balance between...Read full review »

I love no nonsense, well researched, clearly spoken hosts! This one tops the bill!

Like everything Ashley Flowers touches, this podcast went politically liberal. Anti law enforcement, DNA is good for everything except determining gender, too much newspeak, anti-white racism, heterophobic…So disappointed that this podcast went down that same gutter. Also, why do all true crime...Read full review »

It’s a shame because the content is there, but the host is clearly out of her depth, brings up trivial non-issues, is full to the brim with righteous indignation (despite actually doing anything to help the ‘issues’ she talks about), and has very poor critical thinking skills. She makes all her...Read full review »

This show is perfect! Being born and raised in Maine myself and being a true crime fan. It’s interesting to hear about these. Some of the. I go woman I was alive what was I doing how did I miss this. I got a few co workers to start listening to it to.

Well written. Interesting stories that keep you listening. A bad narrator can kill a podcast for me; that’s not an issue here, her voice isn’t annoying at all.

Great true crime podcast that strikes a perfect balance between facts of the case and investigative insight. Well researched, and well edited (episodes are nice and lean.)

Absolutely love this pod cast! This is one of my favorites.

Totally wrong use of the word quote and unquote. Used far too much, nearly every sentence.

I love that Kylie works with the families on many of the cases, and gives such an in depth look into these cases. She gives dignity to the victims. I think she has a great voice and uses proper grammar which many podcasters do not.

Kylie is such a great storyteller and this pod has easily become a favorite. I’m not even from the East coast.

This podcaster more often than not second guesses and questions the professionalism and motives of law enforcement and the judicial system. The elitism of her youth is humorous. She forgets that social media, internet searches, online fingerprinting and DNA databases, license plate readers, etc.,...Read full review »

I really like the content of the show but I think the phrase “according to reporting” is WAY overused and sounds very amateurish. Simple, just clean that up and the show would be more tolerable. I just can’t listen anymore. There are too many other good true crime podcasts.

So, I’m one of the many who loves these type of podcasts. As a born and bred new englander, I’m shocked by all of the cold cases from New England. But this podcast does them justice. Very good. 🦞

I just started listening, and as a former New Englander, I especially like this podcast. I just listened to the Lizzi Marriott one, I actually knew Seth and went to college with him. Glad he's where he belongs now.Read full review »

It’s the best podcast ever!! I just started listening to it and it’s been a great time. I also listen to it when I’m crocheting.🧶

I LOVE this podcast! The victims stories are ones I’ve never heard of so it’s nice to get new cases to keep their memories alive! Kylie’s voice is so soothing and you can tell she truly respects the victims and families along with loving her job. 🌲

Dark Down East is such an evocative title and Kylie Low does a beautiful job telling a story as well as showing empathy and care for victims. I admire the quality of this podcast.

I loved this podcast but lately I cannot even listen to it. The background music used is too distracting! It doesn’t add to the stories at all, it takes away. I get too annoyed and distracted by it and have to turn it off. I really want to keep listening but only can if this changes. Super...Read full review »

Pretty basic podcast. Seems like everyone is “about to get their life on track” right before they die. Be real

I just started this podcast in June. I just finished Alon school episode 🌊

I’d heard the story of Rita Curran done by other podcasts but Dark Down East made Rita and her grieving family the focus - just the way it should be. Thank you.

This used to be my favorite podcast. I would constantly have it playing in the background on my way to work, washing dishes, prepping daycare stuff, etc. Now I can’t get through one episode. The intro and outro music makes it feel cheap and disrespectful. I understand needing to change things to...Read full review »

I have a very narrow focus on true crime stories—-New England only—- so this is the perfect podcast for me.

I loved the first episodes of the podcast! It felt real, authentic, and engaging. It now feels overly scripted and disconnected. Audiochuck is like a podcast cancer. Listening from Ontario Canada. Love your podcast. Thank you for doing what you do, bringing attention to all these cases and victims, telling their stories and making sure they are never forgotten.
Jleypage via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 06/14/24
For any real true crime buff this podcast is all fluff and basically just summarizes what anyone could learn by reading a news articles on the cases. No fact checking or going deeper. Wants to be more than it is.

I’m a fan of audiochuck shows, but the monotone delivery of every episode I’ve listened to of this show is just…well, it’s not up to par, to put it kindly. I keep waiting for the climax, the point where the tension is just too much, but it never comes because you can never tell from the host’s...Read full review »

I started binging when Audiochuck took over and really enjoyed Kylie’s voice and storytelling. I loved this show for many reasons but now that it’s become big, it seems like you are trying to change your speech pattern. Maybe to sound cooler? Or more professional or something? It’s tough to listen to. You were better before. You don’t need to change the way you talk.

Well researched show! My only complaint is the distracting music during the podcast. It servers no purpose other than to be distracting.
