“Alyssa and Hadley strike the perfect balance of well-researched history and comforting, accessible, and thoughtful delivery. Despite the time that’s passed since the events in the homes they discuss, the hosts maintain their empathy and drive home the humanity of the people involved. It’s really refreshing to listen to stories that involve true crime that don’t sensationalize them or disassociate us from our humanity. I also LOVE the vocal fry and genuinely think everyone that has a problem with it needs to do some soul searching about why it bothers them so much. To me, it just reminds me of sitting with my best friends and sharing stories as well as the rich history of women sharing and gossiping with each other to keep their communities safe. Thank you to the hosts for making such an intentional show!!”
