I was not expecting to enjoy this podcast so much! I love the relationship between the hosts, but I appreciate the work put into the research as well as the rich descriptions of the houses. Most importantly, I think the hosts handle the gruesome stories with such sensitivity and humor that it...Read full review »

What a find: a well-researched and engaging podcast! I’ve always been captivated by the Kennedys, particularly on Jackie’s side. Loved the Grey Gardens movie (Jessica Lange!). This podcast delves much deeper into the many & varied characters that the movie could. Guest speaker Sally Quinn...Read full review »

I just want the hosts and their team to know they do a stellar job putting this podcast together every spooky season. These two tell the stories so wonderfully. They all have creepy vibes, with a historical sense behind each episode. They also have a great rapport together. I’m new to this podcast, I’ve listened to about five episodes so far. They’ve all been amazing, and very well done. I’ve already subscribed...Read full review »

A really poorly written show; like listening to two teenagers yap in a school cafeteria.

I appreciate the primary host and the research that she does but the co-host’s interjections are distracting and annoying.

Hadley & Alyssa are as adorable as they are enlightening. The visual stories they weave based on their research are both creepy & fascinating. As a horror fan, history buff, & design lover, these podcasts really hit the mark. Keep it up, ladies. 👏🏼👏🏼🖤

I just can’t listen to one of the podcasters - her vocal fry is super annoying. Someone needs to teach these women how to speak. It’s so annoying and grating!

This podcast is such a pleasure. It can be tricky to find a dark history podcast that strikes the right balance of facts both eerie and informative while avoiding the pitfall of being overly sensationalized, especially when it comes to the real life tragedies of others. Engaging, interesting and fun. Hosts are relatable and I feel like I get to know them when I’m listening. Get freaked out when I’m home alone though! Best to listen when someone else is in the house too.

The background music is too loud and distracting and the sound effects are unnecessary. I think the podcasts subjects and info is so interesting but find it so hard to listen to because of the loud music that overtakes their speaking.
JEMORME via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/09/23
Couldn’t get through one episode because the host’s voice is hard for me to listen to. Type A voice combined with an up-speak and a slight vocal fry. My Gen X self can’t take it. But Millennials and Gen Z May not even notice it.

Great idea for a show, and it sounds like they actually put work into the research, but the delivery is off putting. It’s like listening to two air heads gossip rather than hearing a story about folklore and actual historical events. There’s just too much “yeah, like omg, right”.
